Snorfs!!!

Hi again.

I intended to write sooner, but we've been without internet for 2 days, my youngest daughter left to teach in Korea & I have just been a hot mess!  So today's blog is going to be about another paper modeling/paper toy site. This one I like because it deals in cute.

3eyed bear, www.3eyedbear.com, has some really cute stuff, and today I really needed cute. Well, one of their recent projects are "Snorfs". Snorfs are basically a type of gnome. They come from all over the world & they just have a way of making you feel happy! But as I was looking at the Snorf I had made, I realized there were no girl Snorfs. So I made my Snorf a friend. She is not as good as their's, but just the process of making her helped relieve a lot of stress I wasn't even aware I had.

So thank you 3eyed bear for your Snorfs. And thank you for letting me use your pattern to create. You guys are awesome!

Till we meet again. Craft On!

Hi, Welcome to my place!

This is a blog about me! I am a 47 year old mother of two girls who are college graduates. I have been married for 25 years. This was going to be a crafting blog, but there are so many other things that have my attention, that it seemed like that would be entirely to limiting, So I will be sharing a lot of different things, probably everything from my thoughts on parenting, to recyclable crafts to use with children, what I like in museums, books I've read, my hobby... paper modeling... and last but not least about substitute teaching, which I do when I feel like I need to get some money.
I have a 8 year old brown chihuahua named Cocoa, who is the light of my life. And I seem to be somewhat accident prone. (I am sitting here right now with a broken right big toe.) I love to read other people's creative blogs, and I have some absolute favorites that you will be hearing about lots!

To start with I will give a shout out to 2 of them. One is one of the most awesome paper modeling sites I have found! papermau.blogspot.com He has some of the best historical models out there (as far as ease and choice), my favorites so far have been the '7 Ancient Wonders of the World'.

My second shout out is to Fun with Kids.com her small worlds are fabulous! I love to
use them with preschoolers. There are so many others. I will be sharing them and my
interpretation of how I did them. I'm excited about sharing this 'place' with you, and
getting to know you better.

:)
